   Every year  teachers in our school enjoy their Tour- Day during the Spring and the Fall holidays.  These  activities are organized by the Office of the teachers Union in our school. Almost every teacher enjoys this activity, further more, teachers do not need to pay for these holidays.
   Last September, more than 100 teachers from our school spent a day travelling during the beautiful golden autumn. In the morning, we visited the Three Gorges Project Exhibition Center and  then buses took us to Maoping Port.When we arrived there ,we got on a cruise ship.The ship would take us to another small port near the mouth of JiuWan Rivulet. White water rafting on the JiuWan Rivulet was very famous in China .It will now become impossible because of the rising  water level, so  instead of white water rafting we had a dragon-boat racing competition on the JiuWan Rivulet. Cheers and shouting could be heard ringing along the river banks. It was very exciting and interesting.
    In the afternoon, we walked to the top of the dam where we caught a cable car to the middle of the dam wall.  When we stood on the top of the dam, we seemed to have the same proud feelings of standing on the watch-tower of the Great Wall of China.  In the evening, we were arranged to watch the  opera of ShengshiXiajiang (also called Century`s Dream Comming-True). This  opera was simply wonderful and full of Chinese culture, further more,  the audience were moved and very affected by the performance of all the players.
