    Last week ,Mr.Yuan Qun returned from Singapore after completing his teaching position at Jurong Junior College during the past year. There were six teachers taking part in the exchange programe between the Ministry of Education in Singapore and the government of Hubei Province. Mr.Yuan Qun was the only high school teacher in the visiting teacher group.
    Yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, Mr.Yuan reported on his impressions of Singapore and the Jurong Junior College .He said  Singapore  was a very beautiful country, with plenty of sunshine, a beautiful seashore ,and green trees everywhere. Singapore was poor in mineral wealth but the government paid more attention to public education with considerable financial support.From the President, to an ordinary citizen, every singaporean agreed that talent was the most important resource of a country. Singapore also was a nation of many cultures but all the people lived a comfortabe and happy life.
    Jurong Junior College was similiar to a senior high school in China with approximately 1800 students and 147 teachers.  Teachers were very hard working leaving home early in the morning for school and returning late in the evening to their homes. From Monday to Friday, students attended school at 8:00am and left at 2:00pm.However, some students  might stay at school to finish their homework instead of returning immediately.
    In Chinese Department at Jurong Junior College, colleagues were very friendly each other. Quality Education was well done at this college.Their interest developing courses were effective, like our electives, espercially the Yoga  course and the Culture- tour course .
   Chinese traditional cultures were valued here .Mr. Xu,rector of  Jurong Junior College,was a gentleman with quite a lot of Chinese culture,believed that, education should begin with teaching students how to be a useful person for the society with nice personality.Mr.Yuan respected Mr.Xu deeply in heart.
   Mr. Yuan said,the experience for him to have learned from Jurong Junior College was that,he knew how to stimulate students to learn Chinese well.It was very important for him when he came back and continued to teach at Yichang No.1 Senior High School.
