Last Saturday, an American delegation which was  from Albany High School,Newyork State,came to visit our school in the afternoon.
  As soon as the American guests arrived at our school gate,they received a warm welcome from the whole school.Guide-students of our FEC Classes showed their American friends around the schoolyard ,such as our school garden,Teaching Building and the Exhibition Room of  School`s  History.
 At last, American guests were led  to the Multiple-functions` Hall on the third floor in the Scientific Building . There, Mr.Tan Zigang ,our vice-headmaster,addressed a welcome speech to American friends; and then ,Miss Han Ziming,a representative  of  students ,from one FEC class, gave an introduction about the history of Yichang No.1 Senior high School to  Albany friends,with her fluent English. 
  In order to meet our guests`desire for Chinese Culture` s learning and understanding, we arranged such programmes as:
.A poem Lesson of  Thoughts on A Still Night , by Mr.Yuanqun
.A Modern Chinese Language Lesson about greeting, by Ms.Pengju
.A  Performance of Taiji Gongfu, by Miss Zhouna,
.A Performance of Chinese Cymbalom  (Yangqin),by Miss Zhangjing
 Both  Taiji Gongfu and Chinese Cymbalom  performers won the respect of  American friends.
 After the performances, Miss Katherine Summer , a foreign  teacher in our school,was asked to give a bilingual welcome speech  to her fellow guests.And this really made the conversation`s atmosphere much more relaxed and easier.
 At the end of welcome meeting,hosts and guests  exchanged their gifts.
 All the three teachers of Albany High school spoke highly of the beautiful scenery of schoolyard and the high quality of  school education.
